Bill McDonald

Bill McDonald is Lima One Capital’s Chief of Staff. In this role, Bill ensures that strategic initiatives, operational execution, and cross-departmental alignment come together to drive the company’s vision of being The Nation’s Premier Lender for Real Estate Investors. He plays a key role in supporting the CEO’s vision, providing accountability across all departments, and ensuring that critical business functions operate at peak effectiveness.

With a deep background in construction management, facilities oversight, and risk mitigation, Bill has been instrumental in shaping Lima One’s operational strategies. He oversees key construction projects, manages facilities across all company locations - including Lima One’s new headquarters - and ensures that physical assets support the company’s long-term growth. His leadership extends to negotiating office renewals, conducting site visits for origination activities, and driving construction initiatives that enhance asset management within the servicing team.

Since joining Lima One in 2017, Bill has built a best-in-class construction management department, strengthening client support while proactively mitigating risk - a competitive advantage that sets Lima One apart in their space. His expertise in risk management led to his 2022 promotion to Senior Director, where he took on oversight of the internal valuation team. Now, as Chief of Staff, he applies that same strategic mindset across the entire organization, helping departments stay focused on execution and excellence.

With 25+ years of experience in residential and commercial construction, Bill is a licensed general contractor and inspector who previously founded and operated general contracting and real estate inspection firms in California and Maryland. His ability to blend technical expertise with high-level business strategy makes him a key driver of Lima One’s continued growth and success.
